Living in a textured Hong Kong is everything — it's worth valuing and preserving.

Much of the city’s innate vibrancy has been pushed aside by relentless development. Yet, in the older districts, you still stumble upon scenes that remain virtually unchanged for decades.
I was struck recently by the graphic chaos of a stretched roof canvas, reaching out in its haphazard way. Below, evening office workers and locals of all shapes and sizes drifted by, picking up something fresh for the home while a shirtless worker wrangled products.
This is the very fabric of our society — where we meet at corners and crossroads, connecting with the people we live near and trade with. We need to keep venturing out, meeting others, and maybe even growing a bit in the process. Ordering online or through an app isn’t always the best option, for us or for anyone.
To truly feel and evaluate what we’re living with, to fill our own baskets with the best that’s available to nourish us in every way—that’s how we continue to develop.
