"People aren’t drinking" is a lie!

Richkat Brewing is shaking things up in Hong Kong, adding two craft beer outlets to what’s reported to be 100+ already in the Chinese mainland market!
This expansionist China-based craft beer brand is making bold moves with their new shops in the city *and* a canned range. They’re taking the fight straight to players like Brewdog which is just a literal can-throw away in Central .. (rumoured to have Heineken backing). Then there are our leading city cocktail heavyweights like Draftland (with two outlets and their “Chaco” canned product) and new wine focussed venues, like the 18,000 sq ft ClubBatard.
The alcoholic beverage scene in Hong Kong is buzzing like I’ve not seen for many years. So, don’t tell me people aren’t drinking—the real questions are *what* and *where.* It’s clear food isn’t anchoring the offerings … but if you are hungry and love local “tea shop” fare : don’t overlook Tsui Wah who have just made a welcome return to Central after a long absence, below Lan Kwai Fong, always somewhere to roll into when the drinking is done.
